Very young children

We do not seem to be very good at treating the very young ones. How do they tell us what they need and how much it hurts? We would like to hear from parents, carers, grandparents, play specialists, doctors, anyone who has close contact with pre-schoolers to let us know how we might be better able to listen to the voice of these infants. What do they really need?
