What a fantastic time we had at Playday!

This year’s Playday was a roaring success and a splendid time was had by all! We estimate that around 4,000 people attended on the day including some very special guests; the Tooth Fairy, Wishy from Wish Dental in Poynton, Stockport County’s Vernon Bear, and the Mayor of Stockport!

What else went on at Playday?

Everyone had a fantastic time playing on Harry the Kidz Bus, riding round on Billy the Train, and taking part in all the other activities available on the day. The Big Bubble Man dazzled us with his fantastic displays of dancing bubbles and the kitchen bandstand was back again for another year to create a cacophonous chorus that rang out across the park.

Our very own Dental Playbox provided plenty of play activities to help teach children the importance of looking after your teeth and students and dentists from the University Dental Hospital Manchester were also on hand to answer any questions.

While the main aim of our Playday is always to provide free play activities for children, there is a fundraising aspect to the event. We are thrilled to announce that this year’s event raised a fantastic £1,787.89 for Action for Sick Children!
