UNUM‘s 20-strong team of runners

Afie, Corrine, Ryan and Scott from UNUM

Corporate supporter, UNUM, are entering a 20-strong team into the 5K City Race in London on the 17th July to raise funds for Action for Sick Children. UNUM have been supporting us on an ongoing basis with cash donations, toothbrushes, and now they have decided to take on an even bigger challenge!

UNUM’s support for Action for Sick Children

The strong commitment of UNUM in providing a positive impact to communities reached Action for Sick Children years ago. We have been supported in our work by UNUM on an on-going basis.

In 2017, UNUM donated 4 electric tooth brushes for the Dental Playbox® sessions and also IKEA equipment for the annual event, The Play Day.

This year we will receive £5,000 from the company to continue with our projects and events! Actually, in our Cheadle-Hulme office we have already received 3,000 toothbrushes and we could not be happier! They will go into our Dental Playbox® brushing bags for children to take home.

If you want to raise money for us with UNUM, simply donate here and the donations will go directly to us!

“The team are all excited about the run and it’s certainly a hot topic in the office with us all comparing our training times for the 5K! It’s also given us a huge boost knowing we are supporting a great cause this year as well! One of the main reasons we have chosen to support A4SC is down to the number one reason for child hospital admissions…tooth decay!! This is a cause that hopefully we can both help prevent, and hopefully by us working together we can start to make a difference!” – Scott Burgess, UNUM
