The Family Fund is a UK-wide charity, which for over 40 years has been giving grants to families on a low income raising a disabled or seriously ill child aged 17 and under. Last year we helped almost 70,000 families with £33 million in grants for essential items such as washing machines, sensory toys, family breaks, bedding, clothing and computers.
It can be a struggle financially, emotionally and physically for families raising a disabled or seriously ill child, and these grants help break down many of the barriers families face, improving their quality of life and easing the additional daily pressures.
More information about the Family Fund, including how to apply, can be found by visiting www.familyfund.org.uk or joining the conversation on Facebook – www.facebook.com/familyfund or Twitter www.twitter.com/familyfund
