Celebrate our Volunteers with us! – Meet Hannah

Volunteers’ week is almost finished but we will not stop saying thank you to our dear volunteers! Their constant support is fundamental for us! Today we want to introduce you to a shining star of our Action for Sick Children team: Hannah Boardman. She started volunteering when she was very young as her mother is Gill, Action for Sick Children’s Office Manager.

Hannah’s Story

Hannah is one our youngest volunteers, she is just 18 and she is one of the most passionate and energetic volunteers! What she loves doing the most in her spare time is listening to music. However, volunteering has always covered a large part of her free time! She started volunteering at Action for Sick Children almost 7 years ago, when she was at High School. Her mum, Gill, introduced her into the fundraising world of Action for Sick Children and since then Hannah has developed a passion for helping others!

“Action for Sick Children’s team is so nice! I enjoy volunteering for them because I always have a good laugh with all the staff!”

When Hannah joins our Cheadle-Hulme office she helps us to prepare the Dental Playbox® brushing bags used during the sessions by our Facilitators. She also helps us with any other job we need a hand with, from admin to fundraising, to events.

“My favorite thing is helping at events like The Play Day in August. I’ve always enjoyed getting to talk to people and promoting the charity if I see they are interested in knowing more. I just love it so much!”

We will never stop telling her:

“Thank you Hannah for being such an amazing volunteer!”

To Get Involved…

There are many different ways to get involved with ACTION FOR SICK CHILDREN. However, giving your time can be just as beneficial as making a financial donation. As ACTION FOR SICK CHILDREN and Dental Playbox grow we will need volunteers in all capacities; whether it be to help out at an event or support our office staff; whether it be for a day or an hour it all helps.
